This place is perfect for those taking off early with a welcoming and friendly atmosphere. The on-site ice cream shop and restaurant are a great addition, and the breakfast provided is of high quality. The rooms are excellent, with free parking and amenities that make you feel like you're staying at a 4-star hotel. The room was so cozy and comfortable! The air conditioning was a lifesaver as I tend to get hot easily. Having a private entrance made us feel like we had our own little hideaway. And having a tea/coffee maker was a nice touch, it made mornings feel extra special.
Personally, I wasn't a fan of the soundproofing. I like to hear the little sounds of the surroundings and it felt a bit too isolated for me.

I recently stayed at Bouwelhoeve 'T Schuur for a few nights during my cycling journey, and it was a great place to relax and recharge. The location is fantastic, with first floor rooms in a beautifully renovated barn. The friendly family atmosphere and attentive staff made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. The room was spacious and well-appointed, complete with a desk, coffee/tea makers, and even a small fridge. I especially loved the separate reading room in Room 4, with its cozy leather chairs and table. The breakfast was delicious and hearty, and the on-site parking facilities were a huge plus. a wonderful stay!

I absolutely loved the cozy and charming decoration of the hotel. The vintage furniture and warm color palette made me feel right at home. The general areas, like the lounge and breakfast room, were beautifully decorated with lovely paintings and comfortable seating areas. As a senior woman, I truly appreciated how accessible the hotel was. There were no stairs to climb, and everything was conveniently located on the ground floor, making it easy for me to navigate and enjoy my stay.
Although the staff at the hotel were very helpful and attentive, I would have liked to see more activities or services specifically catered towards senior people. Maybe some gentle exercise classes or organized outings for us to enjoy during our vacation.

I had a wonderful stay at a lovely place in Grobbendonk. The room was spacious and well-appointed, with a comfortable bed and all the amenities I needed. The window may have been small, but it didn't detract from the overall experience. The staff was incredibly friendly and went out of their way to make me feel welcome, even accommodating my late arrival with a delicious dinner. The included breakfast was top-notch and surpassed what I've experienced at higher-rated hotels. I particularly enjoyed the presence of an ice cream shop and restaurant on-site, a definite bonus. My cycling journey was made even more enjoyable thanks to this perfect place to relax and recharge. The parking facilities were ample, and the owners were genuinely friendly and attentive. The walk-in shower was refreshing, and the separate reading room in my room added a nice touch. The only minor issues were a clogged shower head, easily fixable with regular cleaning, and a baking smell in the corridor, which fortunately didn't seep into the room due to the double door system. I had a fantastic experience and highly recommend this hotel for a delightful stay.
